SAVE THE DATE: The Oconee Regional Republican Women and the Oconee County Republican Party has scheduled Karen Handel to speak on Thursday, Aug. 5 at the Oconee County Courthouse, 23 N. Main St., Watkinsville. A meet and greet with refreshments will be held from 6:30-7 p.m. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Mark your calendars, as with the compressed time schedule, this may be one of the few times folks have to hear from one of the candidates for governor in the upcoming Aug. 10 runoff.
