The Executive Committee of Oconee County Republican Party, in cooperation with the board of the Oconee Regional Republican Women (ORRW), has decided that in lieu of a regular GOP meeting on Thursday, June 17, that we would hold a local candidate forum for the contested races of county commission, board of education and state representative.
 
The forum will be held at the Watkinsville Community Center, 191 VFW Drive, Watkinsville. The evening will begin with a meet and greet reception from 6:30-7 p.m. with the forum from 7-9 p.m.  The forum will be moderated by an impartial moderator and be divided into three parts: county commission, board of education and state representative.  Each part will consist of opening and closing statements by each candidate and written questions submitted by audience members and asked by the moderator.
